Moving to London in 2012, I began my teaching career at Fulham School, serving as a PE Teacher before becoming a Head of Year and appointed Director of Sport in 2015. Managing a large team of PE Teachers and coaches, I enhanced the school’s sporting provision by offering a varied and extensive programme that boosted participation within London Schools and supported the most gifted students with a performance pathway to fulfil their sporting potential.
Representing Southampton FC at Academy Level, I gained valuable experience from playing in an elite sporting environment from a young age and have always been destined for a career working in sport. Attending England schoolboy trials at 17, I went on to achieve a degree in BA (Hons) Sports Coaching and a wide range of Level 1 and 2 coaching qualifications. Working as a Sports Development Officer for Southampton Council, I went on to complete my teacher training in 2011. Balancing playing football with a career in teaching, I have represented Weymouth FC, Bashley FC, and Bamber Bridge FC at a semi-professional level.
Having enjoyed a successful career in playing, coaching, and teaching, I now relish the opportunity to embark on an exciting project of growing the Sport Society into one of the leading sporting providers in the UK.
